Alabama - The Band New braunfels Concert reviews
Another great lifetime memory for Alabama!
So I grew up listening to Alabama, I’m from Georgia and they’re such a great band with tons of good memories growing up! The only Christmas music I will even listen to is Alabama. My boyfriend and I decided to go to Alabama cause it was likely their last time touring and he knew how important the band was to me and my mom. Plus tickets were VERY reasonable, most concerts in Denver are ridiculously priced. Back story of Alabama memories, My mom passed from pancreatic cancer in 2017, Alabama was one of her and my dad’s favorite bands ever, so I had their music for every good memory. And needless to say, I cried like half the show, especially to the songs I remembered my mom singing and dancing to. Had an amazing concert and towards the end we had gotten up from our chairs and were watching from the hallway by the chairs thinking it was over and we were gonna beat the traffic leaving. All of a sudden Mountain Music came on and I kinda ignored everything else to listen and when I turned around to see what my boyfriend was doing cause I thought he dropped something, there he was, down on one knee with a ring in his hand, as Alabama played my childhood in the background, he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. So yeah, it was an amazing experience! Our neighbors were annoying and we could hear them talking over Randy Owens during all the good songs, and the neighbor to my right, he was a big boy and was half in my chair and was sweating so bad he got my dress wet while he was shaking me with his dancing… but getting engaged to my favorite country band, 1400 miles away from where I grew up listening to them, was the best!
